RSD in strategic partnership with Drum Cussac
RSD has an extensive network of partners that provide independent expertise in a wide range of specialist areas. One such is Drum Cussac, a leader in the field of marine security, with whom we are now working to ensure that all aspects of RSD designs are fully compliant with security certifications and maritime regulations.
Based in Poole, Dorset, Drum Cussac is a market leader in maritime consultancy and emergency response. Their specialist marine security division, Drum Cussac Maritime, is recognised for its expertise, innovative approach and track record in providing independent advice and support services globally to governments, industry, port operators, cargo and cruise lines, plus many leading superyacht managers and owners.
Working in partnership with the International Maritime Organisation, Drum Cussac Maritime has been at the forefront of formulating the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code, which governs port and ship security assessments and delivers accredited training courses. Their maritime security team is drawn from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, including master mariners, marine engineers and surveyors, international special forces, army and navy personnel (including anti-terrorist units), security officials and international coastguard authorities.
Drum Cussac will enable RSD to access a wide range of services, including security analysis of RSD refits and new builds, protection advice for vessels operating in high-risk areas, security training for officers, and recommendations on a variety of security alert systems that can be integrated into our designs.
