December 2008 Earlier this year, RSD signed a prestigious contract to design two 85-metre superyachts for a Far Eastern client. The brief covers the preliminary naval architecture, interior design and exterior styling and we also expect to be fully involved in the build process with the shipyard, when it has been selected, by collaborating with the yard’s own design management service. Both yachts are being designed to provide exceptional sea-keeping ability and will feature state-of-the-art propulsion and technical systems. The general arrangement is being laid out to be as spacious as possible with the option to open up onto an extensive aft ‘beach area’ for easy access to water sports and diving. The interior furnishings will be the epitome of luxury and incorporate the sleekest space solutions created by our expert stylists. Designed to full MCA regulations, completion of the first of these two stunning vessels is expected in early 2013. |
