"A vessel that has the potential to become the largest yacht in the world is being designed by Rainsford Mann Design. It is at least 170m in length, with a beam of 24m and height of 25m and is designed to meet full SOLAS requirements. There are seven decks connected by a central atrium served by two glass lifts. The owner’s accommodation includes four en suite bedrooms, gym, offices and a dining room, all on a private deck. In addition, there is accommodation for another 50 guests who will be served by 65 permanent crew, increasing to 85 when needed. Leisure facilities include a cinema, virtual golf course, 15m swimming pool and seven tenders including a mini-sub. Propulsion will combine diesel and gas turbine plants with pod-style drives for efficiency and manoeuvrability. Work is forecast to start in the summer of 2006."
