"Rainsford Saunders Designers Tim Saunders and Rupert Mann have collaborated in the design of a new 37.5m fast motor yacht named Osireion which represents a new development in luxury motor yacht design while continuing the tradition of advanced styling associated with the earlier 46.5m project Zep Tepi. Built of aluminium and composite plastics with a lightweight interior, the yacht’s two MTU 4000 diesels driving Wärtsilä waterjets will provide a speed of over 40 knots. The saloon has dark stained beech panelling with stainless steel trim plus cream leather upholstery and etched glass tables. The owner’s cabin features a bed which can be rotated or lifted to take in the view. A glass and steel staircase gives access through the decks, while a glass sculpture twists up from the central post that supports the edge-lit glass treads." The Superyachts 2005 |
